Regrann from @indre.klyvyte - Just to remind the blue mould originally appeared in old bread left in damp and naturally well ventilated caves, after the mushroom colonised the inside it's then taken out and ground into a powder that's mixed into cheese curds. Penicillium Roqueforti can develop easier with presence of oxygen thus after a few weeks the wheels of cheese must be pierced with needles to allow the flow of air inside 🤓 - #regrann
